Review 11th International CTI Symposium
Shifting down a gear
How many gears are enough or how can cars become more efficient and economical without drivers having to compromise on driving enjoyment? These and other questions were the focus of the 11th International CTI Symposium “Innovative Automotive Transmissions, Hybrid & Electric Drives”, which was held from 3 to 6 December 2012 in Berlin. The diverse range of concepts offered across the different vehicle classes in individual countries will continue to be retained in the future. Alongside CO 2 reductions and fuel efficiency, the question of who will drive vehicles in future and in what way is a new challenge facing the automobile industry because the younger generation is increasingly focusing on personal mobility.
